A frustrated Zambia woman has divorced her husband of 10 years, saying he was excellent in bed but completely unreliable when it came to paying rent or providing for their home. Mirriam Moonga, 28, told the court that despite her husband Lumuno Tembo’s romantic skills, he constantly failed to support their family, often disappearing when rent was due and causing repeated evictions. Tembo, 41, argued that he simply had no money and claimed his wife disrespected him because of his poverty, but said he didn’t want a divorce for their child’s sake. Magistrate Harriet Mbewe ruled that Tembo failed in his responsibilities and granted the divorce, ordering that their property be shared equally.
