Yemi Eberechi Alade, better known by her stage name Yemi Alade, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress. She gained prominence after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009. Yemi Alade began her career in 2009 when she won the Peak Talent Show in Nigeria. She then signed with Effyzzie Music Group and released her debut single “Johnny” in 2013. The single was an instant hit and propelled her to fame. She followed this up with the release of her debut album “King of Queens” in 2014 which was equally successful. Yemi has since released two more studio albums, “Mama Africa” in 2016 and “Woman of Steel” in 2019. In addition to

Almost 2 years after the release of her first album, Yemi Alade announced the release of another album, Mama Africa which is dated back to 25 March 2016, A song that focuses on the weakness and the strength of African Ladies.
The album combines components of highlife, Afropop, R&B, hip-hop, and pop. Yemi Alade has said recording the album was a struggle because she was continually traveling to different countries every day. She likewise said she recorded the album to “capture all of Africa on a CD”.
Yemi Alade revealed to The Fader magazine she teamed up with fellow artists from West Africa, East Africa, and South Africa. She enrolled GospelOnDeBeatz, Selebobo, DJ Coublon, Philkeyz, BeatsByEmzo, Rotimi Keys, Masterkraft and Mr. Chidoo to deliver the album.
Mama Africa welcomed visitor appearances from Sarkodie, P-Square, Sauti Sol, Dj Arafat, Rotimi Keys, Flavour N’abania, and Selebobo.
Yemi Alade‘s third studio collection Black Magic was delivered on 15 December 2017. A development to her 2017 EP Mama Africa, the album saw visitor appearances from Falz and Olamide.
