Introduction
Naseeb Abdul Juma Issack is an award-winning artist, businessman, philanthropist, singer and songwriter. He is well known for the bongo flava genre with the stage name Diamond Platnumz. As a businessman he currently owns WCB Wasafi Record, Wasafi TV, Wasafi FM and Zoom Extra.
Background
Naseeb was born in Tandale Dar es Salaam in October, 1989. He was born to devout Muslim parents Mr and Mrs Juma although most of his formative years was spent with his mum and grandmother. Unlike Naseeb’s currently reality, he didn’t have access to luxury was and the flashy things of life. At a young age, he engaged in menial jobs just to fend for himself and support his mother and grandmother who he lived with. His interest in music started at a very tender age but his mother was not in support of him stopping his education for a musical career. In 2016 Naseeb graduated from higher institution and focused fully in music with the support from his mother
Personal Life
The bongo flava singer has four children from three different women; a business woman from Uganda, a model and a radio presented. Not much is known if Diamond Platnumz has other siblings however, he has been said to be a cousin to the popular Tanzanian DJ- Romeo Abdul Jones according to TheCityCelebs.
Career
The success of the Tanzanian artist can be applauded to his mother who supported the artist by all means available. He came into stardom in 2009 with the release of his hit single. Being a Tanzanian Indigene, he was not very fluent in English language so he challenged himself to learn the language so that he could reach a wider audience. He learnt the language and in 2013 he released ‘Number one’ where he featured Davido. The hit song earned him a nomination from BET Awards. In 2018 and 2022 he released his third and fourth album titled ‘A boy from Tandale’ and ‘First of All’ respectively.
